What Happens In Vegas
What Happens In Vegas was the first part of the two hour long cycle 12 premier that started with 34 finalists at Cesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Challenge
Ms. J. asked each model to demonstrate her runway walk by walking on ground filled with clouds. Ms. J. told the models to show strengh, endurance, and poise. Additionally, the models had short interviews with Tyra, J. and Jay. The interviews included explaining why each girl wanted to be ANTM and modeling in swimsuits.
Photo Shoot
All 34 girls dressed in togas and were asked to pose in a classic Roman pose. They were also asked to show their profile.
Judging
The judges evaluated all 34 finalists' runway walk, profile picture, and interview and chose a top 21. Each girl was asked to open a box with her name on it. The boxes of the lucky 21 girls had golden wreaths. The other 13 girls' boxes were empty and they were sent home.
Photo Shoot
The remaining 21 girls were assigned a goddess and attribute for a photo shoot with Jay. Somme of the goddesses were justice, maddness, strength, prosperity, love, and honor.

After the photo shoot the judges examined the picture and Tyra called the names of the 13 ANTM finalists.
