Life Before ANTM
Sandra Nyanchoka was born in Kenya and moved to the United States when she was seven years old. She is 19 years old and currently lives in Rockville, Maryland where she is an aspiring model and journalism student. She speaks Kiswahili at home and loves speaking it because it makes her feel at home. Sandra has three sisters and three brothers and is very close to her family. She said she loved playing hopscotch, catch, and doing other outdoor activities with them while she lived in Kenya. Nyanchoka has some previous modeling experience but was pretty new to modeling when the show began.

ANTM
Sandra auditioned for America's Next Top Model at a casting in Maryland because she felt it was a great opportunity. She was known on the show for her dark skin. After being eliminated, Sandra said she didn't feel like she was portrayed accurately on the show. Nyanchoka said in an interview that she feels she wasn't sent home for bad pictures, but because she wasn't stirring up drama anymore. She also said that she didn't like the makeover Tyra chose for her. Although she was eliminated, Sandra plans to continue modeling and hops to someday walk for Mark Jacobs. She also is interested in journalism and hopes to be a fashion journalist.

Episode Highlights
In the first few episodes, Sandra got in arguments with most of the girls. She was the challenge winner in the Do You Like The Way I Look? episode and was in the bottom two in the Fun and Games and Put Your Best Face Forward Episode. Sandra had the top picture in the New York's Finest episode. During the Here's Your Test episode, Sandra had the worst picture and was sent home.
