Acting Like A Model
The girls met Paulina Porizkova who talked to them about doing their best everyday. She said that as a model, each day is an audition with new designers so even if they are having a bad day, they need to be 100% ready. Then they were given a lesson in stage acting. The girls were given a partner and each group was given a sentence. Then each girl was given a specific way to act out her sentence.
Celia and Aminat - I've never said that to anyone.
Teyona and Natalie - I have no idea what your talking about.
London and Fo - You've gotta be kidding me.
Allison and Tahlia - You need to get out of here.
Challenge
The girls met Paulina at Harlem Stage and were given a script to memorize. They each acted out their scene with guest Clay Aiken. Each girl was asked to act like a snobby model on a go see where Clay Aiken was the designer. Clay and Paulina critiqued four of the girl's performances.
London - Expressive
Natalie - Has an aptitude
Tahlia - Lazy
.Celia - Has comedic flare
London was the winner of the challenge and recieved $5,000 in merchendice from Joe's Jeans.
Covergirl Commercial
Instead of a photo shoot, the girls filmed a Covergirl commercial. They met McKey, the cycle 11 winner, who helped them prepare for the commerical. The girls were split into two groups of four and given a script to memorize while in hair and makeup. They also got to use a teleprompter while they were filming. Teyona, Aminat, Celia, and Allison were the first group to film and London, Tahlia, Natalie, and Fo were the second. Peter Chelkowski filmed the commercials.
Judging
Clay Aiken was the guest judge. The judges said that as a group, the girls performance was weak. Each girl got critiqued and then Tyra called the names of the seven girls who will continue. The girls are in order from best picture to worst and the judges' critiques are listed below.
Celia - Always has great fashion sense, Nigel said her commercial was not bad, Paulina said she has natural talent and comedic ability, Clay said she jumps right in to character, and Tyra said she needs to portray a younger character because she felt like Celia was the aunt of all the other girls
Natalie - Clay felt like she didn't relate to the other girls in the commercial, Tyra said she never remembers her because she doesn't stand out and she needs to work on flirtiness and portraying more emotion, J. said she is stiff in her shoulder
Teyona - Nigel and Paulina said she squints a lot, Tyra said the posing at the beginning of her commerical was bad
Fo - Jumbled up words in her commercial, Tyra said the beginning sounded like a bad DJ
London - Cute in Natalie's commercial, Nigel said she was slouchy and sloppy, Tyra said she has too much hardness, Paulina told her that her shorts at judging weren't becoming but she sees potential, every judge agreed she is gaining weight and going pear shaped
Aminat - Tyra said she didn't enunciate
Allison - J. said she has worn the same dress to judging twice, Tyra said her commercial was punishment. Clay said she had improved since the challenge but she has no personality, Nigel said he always sees the same poses and look, Paulina said she has the personality of a plastic doll
Tahlia - Tyra said she has the physical look covergirl likes, Nigel and Paulina said she was the best in Fo's commercial, Paulina said she needs to bring out her energy Clay said she needs to come out of her comofrt zone and has horrible self esteem issues, Nigel said she forgot the client and looked old and and angry rather than young and fresh.
Tahlia went home with the worst picture and a shot taken from Celia's top commercial was displayed in the house.

Some of the girls got angry when Natalie didn't was her dishes after dinner. Then, when Natalie called them hicks later in the show, she started calling them snobs.
London is worried about gaining weight and didn't even try on her $5,000 in merchandise from Joe's Jeans because she was afraid it wouldn't fit.
